XMAS past

Well another Christmas is bye-bye.

This was a pretty nice one. Our oldest son, Tim was home for 2 weeks and the youngest, Pat was here for 2 days, unfortunately his wife, Carrie wasn't able to accompany him.

Tonight, New Years Eve, has been anti-climatic for us for some time. We will most likely be in bed by 11:30.

I'm ready to take down the Christmas lights and tree, but I know I can't. My wife explained to me a few years ago that the church doesn't like that.

Apparently, sometime in the 15th century, Pope Pinochle the 35th, I believe it was, decreed that electric Christmas lights can't be taken down until after the third lunar eclipse following Christmas, or May 32nd, which ever comes first. So I will wait until I'm told its ok to unplug.
